The Soil and Plant Analysis Council (SPAC) is pleased to announce that registration, sponsorship opportunities, and a call for abstracts for the 18th International Symposium on Soil and Plant Analysis (ISSPA) are now open. The meeting of ISSPA 2025 is hosted by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and North Carolina State University and will take place in Durham, North Carolina, USA, June 9 – 13, 2025. In partnership with the Australasian Soil and Plant Analysis Council, Agri-Laboratory Association of Southern Africa, and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s Global Soil Partnership, we are honored to host this esteemed symposium in North America for the first time in 10 years.

This symposium serves as a premier global platform, uniting leading experts and showcasing cutting-edge research and technology in soil, plant, and water sciences. Abstracts are now being accepted in the topic areas of:

  • Advanced technologies in agriculture (A.I., UAVs, precision agriculture, robotics, automation, meta-analysis)
  • Environmental contaminants and soil degradation
  • Fertilizer, biostimulant, and inoculant technologies
  • Global accessibility to agricultural testing
  • Global food security and scientific policy for agriculture
  • Plant analysis methods and interpretation
  • Proximal and remote sensing of soils and crops
  • Soil carbon capture and sequestration
  • Soil carbon testing methods and validation
  • Soil fertility and plant nutrition
